Privacy Policy

In short: The TagegeldRechner app does not collect any personal data. Your trips stay on your iPhone. There is no account, no tracking, no advertising and no analytics. This website sets no cookies and loads no third-party content.

This privacy policy provides information under Art. 13 of the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and the Austrian Data Protection Act (DSG).

2. The TagegeldRechner app

2.1 No collection of personal data

Everything you enter (destinations, travel times, meals and, optionally, a name for the PDF export) is processed and stored only on your device. It is not transmitted to us or to anyone else. The app works fully offline. We have no access to your data.

The app does not use location data (GPS), contacts, the camera, the advertising identifier, analytics or tracking SDKs, or a backend of its own.

2.2 Storage on your device and backups

Saved trips and settings are stored in the app’s storage on your iPhone. If you have iCloud backups or computer backups turned on, this data is included in those backups, as with any app. That processing is done by Apple or on your computer according to your settings. Deleting the app removes all app data from the device.

2.3 Exports

PDF and CSV exports are created on your device. You alone decide where to send them via the iOS share sheet (e.g. by email).

2.4 Purchases (TagegeldRechner Pro)

Purchases of TagegeldRechner Pro are handled entirely through the Apple App Store. Apple alone processes payment and account data, as an independent controller. The app only receives confirmation from Apple that the purchase is unlocked. Apple’s privacy policy applies: apple.com/legal/privacy.

2.5 Crash reports and app analytics from Apple

If you have agreed in iOS Settings to “Share With App Developers”, Apple provides us with anonymised crash reports and aggregated usage statistics through App Store Connect. These do not allow conclusions about you or your trips. You can change this at any time under Settings › Privacy & Security › Analytics & Improvements.

2.6 External links

The app links to the sources of the rates (e.g. the German Federal Ministry of Finance, the Austrian legal information system RIS). These only open in your browser when you tap them; the privacy policy of the respective provider then applies.

3. This website

3.1 No cookies, no tracking, no third-party content

This website does not store information on your device or access information stored there (§ 165 (3) of the Austrian Telecommunications Act 2021). It uses no cookies and no analytics or tracking services, and embeds no third-party content (no external fonts, scripts or videos). All files are served from our own server.

3.2 Contact by email

If you contact us by email, we process your email address and the content of your message to answer your request (Art. 6(1)(b) or (f) GDPR). The data is deleted once your request has been dealt with, unless statutory retention obligations apply.

4. Your rights

Under the GDPR you have the right of access (Art. 15), rectification (Art. 16), erasure (Art. 17), restriction of processing (Art. 18), data portability (Art. 20) and to object to processing based on legitimate interests (Art. 21). Just write to the email address above.

If you believe that the processing of your data violates data protection law, you can lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority (Art. 77 GDPR). In Austria this is the Austrian Data Protection Authority (Österreichische Datenschutzbehörde), Barichgasse 40–42, 1030 Vienna, dsb.gv.at. You can also contact the supervisory authority in your country of residence.

5. Changes

We update this privacy policy when the app, the website or the law changes. The version published here applies.
